        Luke Schafer led all scorers with 17 points to lead East Mills. Colden Hillyer added six points and five rebounds.

        The Glenwood girls used a 19-1 second quarter run to take a 31-8 halftime lead into a 57-37 rout of Creston in Hawkeye 10 Conference action on Friday.

        The Glenwood wrestling team placed fourth at the Dan Hill Invitational in Harlan on Saturday.
        Logan-Magnolia was the team champion with 285 points. Urbandale was second with 177.5 and Gretna, Neb. was close behind with 177 points.
        Glenwood advanced four wrestlers to the finals on Saturday with three earning individual titles.

        TABOR - An aggressive Glenwood defense and an 11-2 run to open the fourth quarter proved the difference for the Rams basketball team in a 60-44 victory over Fremont-Mills last Tuesday.

  • Schafer, Meier unanimous first...

        Luke Schafer and Nate Meier were both unanimous first team offensive and defensive selections on the 2010 Eight-Man District 8 Football Team released last week.
        Schafer, a junior, was tabbed as the first team quarterback after leading the district with just over 2,400 yards and 37 touchdowns passing. Schafer added 611 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. On defense, Schafer had 98 tackles and picked off four passes.
