The Wolverines (5-2 overall, 5-1 in the Corner Conference) 26 points were a season-low – their fewest in a game since a 45-28 loss to Underwood Dec. 2, 2010 – as were their 24 field goal attempts, 11 field goal makes and six free throw attempts. They also had a season-high 19 turnovers in a rough-and-tumble post-Christmas break loss.

RED OAK – Micayla Taylor’s pair of three pointers in the final three minutes lifted Red Oak to a 50-46 come-from-behind victory over Glenwood in Hawkeye 10 Conference girls basketball Friday.

Taylor, a senior guard, proved to be the difference in the game thanks to her two three-pointers coming from the exact same spot at the top of the key just a minute apart. Taylor had a season-high 10 points for the night.

  • Rams score win on road

RED OAK - The Glenwood boys basketball team opened 2015 with a 58-45 win over Red Oak Friday in Hawkeye 10 Conference play.

The win snapped a two-game losing skid for the Rams (3-4 overall, 2-4 in Hawkeye 10 Conference).

“It’s huge,” said Glenwood coach Curt Schulte after the game. “You go on break for two weeks and it’s important you come in that first game and get that win and get some momentum and get some confidence going into Tuesday’s game against Clarinda.”
