        The Mills County Assessor's Office is currently in the process of a county-wide reappraisal.
        When all is said and done, the assessor’s office, with the assistance of an outside contractor, will have reappraised more than 17,000 parcels in the county sometime next year.

  • Omaha man dies in I-29 crash

        An Omaha man was killed on Interstate 29 Monday when he attempted to make a U-turn in a construction zone south of Glenwood.

        John L. Agnew, 74, of Omaha died when his pick-up truck was struck by a southbound semi-truck shortly after 8:45 a.m. Monday.

  • Glenwood taking board meetings on the road

        The Glenwood Community School District Board of Directors is about to take its show on the road.
        The board voted unanimously last Monday at its regular monthly board meeting to rotate the board’s meetings during the 2010-2011 school year between Glenwood, Mineola, Silver City and Pacific Junction.
        Glenwood Superintendent Devin Embray spearheaded the proposal, modeling the plan to rotate venues after a similar schedule at his former school district in the Independence Community School District.
