A popular band from Offutt Air Force Base returns to the Davies Amphitheater Sunday evening for a free concert.

Night Wing is the country/rock showcase group of the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue. Night Wing honorably represents more than 329,000 Air Force professionals around the world who diligently watch over the skies protecting and defending all those who cherish freedom.

The East Mills softball committed five errors leading to 11 unearned runs in a 16-5 loss to Sidney on Thursday.

The Wolverines (1-8) had 10 hits on offense but couldn't overcome their defensive miscues or the loss of their top hurler, Shelby Goodman, who was forced to leave the game heading into the top of the seventh with an undisclosed medical condition.

"We didn't play too bad. We actually played really well until we had to pull Shelby (Goodman) in the last inning," said East Mills coach Chuck Goodman. "After that we sort of went downhill."

The Glenwood softball team earned a pair of wins over Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln and Logan-Magnolia at the Treynor Classic Softball Tournament on Saturday.

Glenwood (14-6 overall, 5-3 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference) needed nine innings and a double by Molly Bryan to put away the T.J. 2-1 in a game one win. They had defeated the Rams the previous Monday 3-2.

The game was knotted at 0-0 heading into the ninth when tournament rules required each team start with a runner on second base. The Lynx took advantage and scored their runner on a stolen base and a passed ball.

The Glenwood baseball team blasted 17 hits in a pair of wins at the Treynor Baseball Classic on Saturday.

Ten different Rams had at least one hit in a 10-9 win over Woodbine in the tournament opener. Josh DeYoung and Bryan Harless were both 2-for-4 in the win.

Gage Comer received a no-decision after allowing five earned runs and eight hits in four innings of work. Taylor Kaufman came on to pitch a hitless final inning and 2/3 to earn the win.
