        Lisa Lothrop and Matthew Stewart have announced their engagement. Ms. Lothrop and her fiance are planning a June 17, 2011, wedding at Havelock United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Neb.

        The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Robert and Rhonda Lothrop of Glenwood. Her fiance’s parents are David and Brenda Stewart of Murdock, Neb.

  • Winds Blamed For Motorcycle Accident

    PACIFIC JUNCTION - High wind gusts are being blamed for a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 34 near Pacific Junction that left a 45-year-old Omaha man with critical injuries.

    An investigation by the Mills County Sheriff’s Office determined Christopher Cercena was driving a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Highway 34, less than one-half mile east of the Interstate 29 interchange, shortly after 3 p.m., when severe winds caused him to lose control of the bike.

        The Glenwood boys golf team edged Council Bluffs St. Albert 179 to 199 in a non-conference dual at Dodge Riverside Golf Course in Council Bluffs on Thursday.

  • Rams make history at Drake Relays

        The Glenwood boys track team was able to make history and re-write the Glenwood track record books at  the 101st running of the Drake Relays last weekend in Des Moines.

  • Bird’s 53 leads Rams past Saintes

        COUNCIL BLUFFS - Council Bluffs St. Albert’s Jane Watasaburg scored a 50 to win individual honors but the Glenwood girls, led by Chelsee Bird’s 53, took home the dual victory, edging the Saintes by four strokes, 252 to 256 at the Dodge Park Golf Course in Council Bluffs on Thursday.

  • Rams 8-1 after 1-0 win over Cyclones

        The Glenwood boys soccer team improved to 8-1 on the season and 7-0 all time at Creighton University’s Morrison Stadium with a 1-0 victory over Harlan last Tuesday.

  • Glenwood girls crush Corning

        The Glenwood girls tennis team crushed Corning 9-0 in a non-conference dual last Thursday. Both Shelby Cronk and Rachel Tucker controlled their matches for Glenwood by only allowing their opponents two games each.  

  • Rams swat Cyclones in Hawk-10 tennis

        The Glenwood boys tennis team traveled to Harlan on Friday and came away with a 7-2 Hawkeye 10 Conference victory over the Cyclones.
