  • Homan scores two goals in win

    OMAHA - Glenwood out-shot Harlan 15-4 and Sarah Homan scored a pair of goals as the Rams knocked off Harlan 3-2 in Hawkeye 10 Conference girls soccer in a match played Friday at Morrison Stadium on the campus of Creighton University.

    Homan got the first of her two goals in the 10th minute to give the Rams a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.

    Just three minutes into the second half, Harlan took advantage of a Ram defensive breakdown and Cyclone stryker Ana Petersen was able to knot the score on a breakaway just past the dive of Ram goalkeeper Kristen Nakamoto.

  • Rams down Cyclones in Hawk-10 soccer

    OMAHA - Tyler Jensen, Parker Baker and Ross Van Slyke each scored a goal for Glenwood in a 3-1 Hawkeye 10 Conference boys soccer victory over Harlan on Friday at Morrison Stadium on the campus of Creighton University.
    Jensen got the Rams (4-2 overall, 1-1 in the conference) on the board early when he beat two Cyclone defenders and whipped a dart just inside the right bar from 25 yards out.

        Thomas James Adams, Glenwood – driving while license is barred (habitual offender), pleaded guilty, sentenced to 60 days in county jail with credit given for time served, one year probation, ordered to pay court costs and fees.
        Keith Alan Wilson II, Glenwood – found to be in violation of probation and in contempt of court on charge of sex offender registry violation, sentenced to 120 days in county jail, ordered to pay court costs and fees.

    Accidents

        March 28 – A vehicle driven by Jaelin Stanton of Glenwood was attempting to back out of a driveway on Sharp Street when a vehicle driven by Michael Ruby of Malvern, who was delivering mail along Sharp Street, struck Stanton’s vehicle.
        April 1 – A vehicle driven by Charles Caley of Glenwood failed to yield at a stop sign on eastbound Tyson Street and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Cynthia Bell of Sidney, on South Locust Street, .
