  • Silver City Resident Running For County Board

        Rural Silver City resident Jack May said Monday that Mills County’s reluctance to repeal its building permit ordinances is behind his decision to run as Independent candidate by petition in the Nov. 2 election for a seat on the county board of supervisors.

  • Florian Running For Mills County Treasurer

        Longtime Mills County resident, Craig Florian of Glenwood recently announced his decision to run for the Office of Mills County Treasurer in the Nov. 2 general election. Florian, an Independent, will be on the ballot as a candidate by petition. He’s be opposing Republican Becky Dix Killpack.

  • County Attorney Withdraws From Election

        Some health issues have forced Mills County Attorney Marci McClellan to terminate her re-election campaign.
        McClellan formally withdrew from the Nov. 2 general election in a letter submitted to Mills County Auditor and Election Commissioner Carol Robertson on Aug. 20.

  • Outdoor Pool On November Ballot

    The Nov. 2 general election ballot for residents of the city of Glenwood will include a $2.2 million bond issue referendum that would provide partial funding for the construction of an outdoor swimming pool and aquatic center adjacent to the Mills County YMCA.
