  • Homecoming Royalty

        Shelby Edmonds and Miller Cambridge were crowned queen and king of the 2010 Glenwood Community High School Homecoming celebration.


        Saturday night's coronation ceremony in the GCHS gymnasium culminated a week of homecoming festivities. The Rams won their homecoming football Friday night against Red Oak.

  • Homecoming Week

    The annual Glenwood Homecoming Parade will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. Registration for the parade will be at the American Legion on Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All participants must register. Kindergarten through 12th grade and class reunion floats can pre-register by calling Lori McGoldrick at 527-9973.

  • School Board Road Show

        The Glenwood Community School District Board of Directors is about to take its show on the road.
        The board voted unanimously last Monday at its regular monthly board meeting to rotate the board’s meetings during the 2010-2011 school year between Glenwood, Mineola, Silver City and Pacific Junction.

  • East Mills Vote Dec. 7

        After two years of discussions, public forums, more than 600 signatures and a unanimous vote of the Green Hills Area Education Association Board of Directors last Monday, the Nishna Valley and Malvern School Districts will put the matter of their proposed reorganization into one district to a public vote on Dec. 7.
