Sioux City East edges Glenwood, 6-5

Sioux City East plated two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and ended Glenwood’s five game winning streak with a 6-5 victory Friday in Sioux City.

The Rams (12-8) had their chances against the Black Raiders but couldn’t get the timely hits they needed. In all, Glenwood left 10 men on base and twice with the bases loaded failed to push across a run.

“We had people on in scoring position all game long,” said Glenwood coach Kurt Schultz. “It’s tough to win when you leave 10 men on base.”
