        Feb. 1 – A vehicle driven by Joshua Antonides of Nebraska City, was found rolled over in the southbound lane of Interstate 29. No injuries were reported.

  • People driving north on Grove Street in Glenwood may or may not notice the important equipment planted in the ground at the corner of Fifth Street.

    It is quiet and unassuming, much like homeowner Larry Pratt. These two pieces of equipment, a thermometer and a rain gauge, however, are vital to the lives of southwest Iowa residents.

        Jan. 17 – Randi Mower of Glenwood reported a theft.
    Accidents
        Jan. 17 – A vehicle driven by James Nausler of Omaha was found abandoned in a ditch off of Deacon Road. When emergency personnel arrived Nausler returned and told officers he had injured his hand with a chainsaw and was driving himself to the hospital when he passed out and the vehicle ended up in the ditch. The driver was transported to the hospital. His condition was not known at press time.
