        Aug. 5 - Kenneth Fencl of Malvern reported a theft.
        Aug. 5 - Brad Obrecht of Missouri Valley reported a theft.

        Aug. 2 - Samuel Kalhorn of Glenwood was driving a vehicle southbound on 240th Street, when  an unknown northbound vehicle drove partially into Kalhorn’s lane of traffic causing him to swerve and hit a cable guardrail. No one was transported.

        July 30 - Viner’s Inc. of Emerson reported a criminal mischief.

        July 28 – A vehicle driven by Roscoe Moore of Plattsmouth was westbound on the Bellevue Bridge when a second vehicle, a tractor and hay rake driven by Robert Brandon of Pacific Junction, tapped the side of the bridge causing the vehicle to swerve and strike Moore’s travel trailer. No one was transported.

  • Judge
    James Heckerman
        Adam Duane Wright, Glenwood – driving while license is barred (habitual offender), pleaded guilty, sentenced to three days in county jail, ordered to pay court costs and fees.
        Patrick Neal Jack, Emerson – found to be in contempt of court, released from probation and ordered to serve 23 days in county jail, ordered to pay court costs and fees.

  • Glenwood Schools Summer Food Service Program

    The Summer Food Service Program is sponsored by the Glenwood Community School District and is free to all children ages 18 and under. The program will run through Aug. 7 at the following locations and times:

    Glenwood Middle School, 400 Sivers Road. Breakfast is served 8 - 9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Kid’s Place Daycare, 103 Central, first floor at the Glenwood Resource Center campus. Breakfast is served 8 - 9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. – noon. Limited seating is available.

  • Open Mon. - Fri. 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sat. 8 - 11 a.m.

    Exercise Classes (6 weeks): Tuesday & Thursday, 10 - 11 a.m.

    Coffee Time: Mon. - Fri. 8 - 11:30 a.m. & 1 - 4 p.m.; Sat.; 8 - 11 a.m.;
    Ladies’ Coffee: Mon.

  • The Davies Amphitheater, Frontline Church and LTD-Leadership Through Drama, Inc., are teaming up to present “Family Movie Night at the Davies Amphitheater” Saturday, July 20.

    The free evening of entertainment will include a showing of the LTD film “The Elpis Orb” and movie-themed activities and games beginning at 7:45 p.m. on the lawn east of the amphitheater.
    Dan Hardcastle of the Frontline church said he’s hopeful the movie night will be the first of many in Glenwood.
