    The 4-H Youth Horse Jamboree was held March 24-25, in  Ames.  The event was an opportunity for youth to participate in a host of activities from hippology to quiz bowl, public speaking and horseless horse projects including photography, visual arts, woodworking, creative writing, and others.

    Jim Gregory of Tabor reported a theft.
    April 1 - Jeffrey Slosson of Glenwood reported a burglary and criminal mischief.
    April 2 - Brandi Goforth of Omaha reported a theft and harassment.
    Joe Halbert of Malvern reported a burglary.
    April 3 - Ken McKee Estate of Emerson reported a theft.

    Following hospitalization, Mildred Hardy spent two weeks in Unadilla, Neb., with Deb and Howard Isaacs. She returned to her home in Malvern Thursday, March 22. Randy Hardy of St. Joseph, Mo., has spent some time with Mildred.
    Raburn and Dixie Benton spent the month of February in Destin, Fla. While there, Raburn attended the Richard Brock Ag Symposium. They also visited Maida McClure, a former Malvern resident.
