        Jan. 13 – Stephanie Reichart of Carson re-
    ported a criminal mischief.

    Accidents
        Dec. 19 – Bret Sheppard of Malvern was traveling east on Highway 34 when the driver lost control due to icy road conditions and struck a second vehicle driven by Charles Edwards of Shenandoah. No injuries were reported.

  • Judge Greg Steensland
        Thomas M. Anderson, Glenwood – operating a motor vehicle with an expired license, pleaded guilty, ordered to pay $50 fine, court costs and fees.
        Chasity Rae Anway, Council Bluffs – unlawful possession of a prescription drug, pleaded guilty, deferred judgment, one year probation, ordered to undergo substance evaluation, pay, court costs and fees.

  • Valeria Kishkunas and Colin Smith of Decorah have announced their engagement.

    Valeria is the daughter of the late Lynn Kishkunas of Cleveland, Ohio, the late Louis Kiskunas of Lebanon, Mo., and granddaughter of the late Louis and Ellen Kishkunas of Glenwood.

    Colin is the son of Patrick and Toni Smith of Decorah.

    Valeria is a graduate of University of Northern Iowa with a  mastr’s degree of music in vocal performance. 

  • Ashley Loren Fultz and Dylan Thomas Griffin of Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., were united in marriage at the Omaha Hilton Hotel on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013. Carol Lynne officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the hotel.

    The bride is the daughter of Danny and Janice Fultz of Glenwood. She’s on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and has studied dental assisting at Iowa Western Community College and esthetics at LaJames International.

        Timothy Truhlicka, Pacific Junction – first-degree harassment, child endangerment, pleaded guilty, sentence suspended to five years probation, ordered to pay $650 fine, restitution, court costs and fees on each count.
        Angela Hope Thurman, Pacific Junction – driving while license is denied or revoked, pleaded guilty, sentenced to one year in county jail with credit for time already served.
