  • Mills County District Court 10/15/14

    Judge JC Irvin
    Jeffrey Dale Liddell, Glenwood – third-degree harassment, pleaded guilty, ordered to pay $65 fine, court costs and fees.
    Christopher C. Adkins, Sidney – driving while barred (habitual offender), pleaded guilty, sentenced to 14 days in county jail with credit for time already served, ordered to pay court costs and fees.
    Ryan Scott Wendt, Pacific Junction – two counts of third-degree burglary, pleaded guilty, sentence suspended to time already served, two years probation, ordered to submit DNA and pay $750 fine on each charge, court costs and fees.

    Incidents
        Oct. 2 – Jason Weak of Glenwood reported a theft.
        Sept. 11 – C&M Remodeling of Honey Creek reported a burglary and theft.
        Sept. 27 – Tera McAtee of Glenwood reported a burglary.
    Accidents
        Oct. 1 – A vehicle driven by Cullen Wake of Glenwood was stopped due to turning traffic on Sharp Street when his vehicle was rear-ended by a second vehicle, driven by Destiny Killin of Glenwood.

  • Mills County Sheriff Reports 10/8/14

    Accidents
        Oct. 2 – A motorcycle driven by David Long of Shenandoah was eastbound on Noyes Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. The driver was transported to Creighton Medical Center by Malvern Rescue. His status was unknown at press time.

  • Mills County District Court 10/1/14

    Judge Mark Eveloff
        Kale Garrett Hardman, Malvern – operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 60 days in county jail with credit for time already served, pay $625 fine, court costs and fees.
        Derek Michael Dodge, Corning – O.W.I., pleaded guilty, deferred judgment, one year probation, ordered to pay $1,250 fine, court costs and fees.

    Incidents
        Sept. 25 - Jordan Salmons of Glenwood reported a burglary.
        Sept. 27 - Mara Hunt of Glenwood reported an assault.
        Sept. 28 - Deanna Kuhl of     Glenwood reported a criminal mischief .

        Terry Joe Halvin, Red Oak – driving with an expired license, pleaded guilty, ordered to pay $50 fine, court costs and fees.
        Michael Franklin Pollock, Omaha – driving while license is barred (habitual offender), pleaded guilty, ordered to pay $315 fine, court costs and fees.

  • Mills County Sheriff Reports 9/24/14

    Incidents
        Sept. 18 – Paul Johnson of Glenwood reported a forgery.
        Sept. 20 – Justin Hilworth of Omaha reported criminal mischief.
    Accidents
        Sept. 18 – A vehicle driven by Brigham Timm of Malvern proceeded through a yield sign on Marion Avenue and collided with a second vehicle driven by Brandy Welch of Hastings, who was westbound on East Fourth Street. Minor injuries were reported at the scene but no one was transported to the hospital.

  • Absentee Ballots Nov. 4 2014 Election

        Ballots for the Nov. 4 general election absentee voting in Mills County are available now at the Mills County Auditor’s Office.
        To request an absentee ballot, call the Mills County Auditor’s Office at 527-3146 or go to www.millscoia.us and print off a request and mail it in to the auditor’s office. You may vote at the auditor’s office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
