Mills County Prize Winners
The regular meeting of the Mills County Prize Winners was called to order April 21, 2012, at the Old Tabor Fire Station by President Kassidy Monday. Roll call was “Do you have your Animal ID’s in?’ and was answered by 12 members. Also both leaders and no guests were present. The Secretary’s Report was read and approved by Katie Weitzki. The Treasurer’s Report was also read by Andrea McClary.

Charles Smith III
Jeffrey Lynn Vosler, Council Bluffs - eluding law enforcement officers, pleaded guilty, sentenced to 120 days in county jail, ordered to pay $625 fine, court costs and fees.
Charles Kephart, Glenwood - O.W.I. (2nd offense), pleaded guilty, sentence suspended to seven days in county jail, one year probation, work release granted, ordered to undergo substance abuse evaluation, pay $1,875 fine, court costs and fees.
The 4-H Youth Horse Jamboree was held March 24-25, in Ames. The event was an opportunity for youth to participate in a host of activities from hippology to quiz bowl, public speaking and horseless horse projects including photography, visual arts, woodworking, creative writing, and others.
