  • Glenwood summer food program 6/19/13

    Glenwood Schools Summer Food Service Program
        The Summer Food Service Program is sponsored by the Glenwood Community School District and is free to all children ages 18 and under. The program will run from until Aug. 7 at the following locations and times:
        Glenwood Middle School, 400 Sivers Road. Breakfast is served 8 - 9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

    Open Mon. - Fri. 8 a.m.  – 4 p.m., Sat. 8 - 11 a.m.
    Exercise Classes (6 weeks): Tuesday & Thursday, 10 - 11 a.m.

    Coffee Time: Mon. - Fri. 8 - 11:30 a.m. & 1 - 4 p.m.; Sat.; 8 - 11 a.m.;
    Ladies’ Coffee: Mon.
    10 - 11 a.m.
    Cards, Table Games & Dominoes: Mon. - Fri. 1-4 p.m.

    Meals
     (served at 11:45 M-F)
        $3.25 for Seniors 60 & up. Reserve day before by noon at 527-4213. Includes drinks & dessert.

  • mills County District Court 6/19/13

    Judge
    Kathleen Kilnoski
        Justin David Fahrenkrog, Mineola – O.W.I., pleaded guilty, sentenced to county jail, one year probation, may complete the Second Chances program, ordered to pay $625 fine, court costs and fees.

        Edward Jesus Maxwell, Council Bluffs – O.W.I. (second offense), pleaded
    guilty, sentence suspended to seven days in county jail, one year probation, ordered to undergo substance abuse evaluation and pay $1,875 fine, court costs and fees.

        May 21 – Mediacom of Red Oak reported a theft.
        May 30 – Western Inn motel of Glenwood reported a theft.
        June 1 – Debra Decair of Glenwood reported  a burglary to her vehicle and a theft.
        June 1 - James Messinger of Glenwood reported criminal mischief.

        Kid’s Place Daycare, 103 Central, first floor at the Glenwood Resource Center campus. Breakfast is served 8 - 9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. – noon. Limited seating is available.
