The water is in the pool, but some finishing work still needs to be done before the Glenwood Aquatic Center opens July 8.

Glenwood’s $5 million outdoor aquatic center, located adjacent to the auxiliary gymnasium at Glenwood Community High School, will open to the public following a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday afternoon, July 8.

Mary Gunderson, a longtime advocate for the outdoor swimming pool project, said the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m.

The pool will open around 1 p.m.
