The spring-like temperatures were nice while they lasted.
Winter returned to southwest Iowa in a big way Friday night and Saturday morning as more than a half-foot of snow blanketed the region. Snowfall amounts in Mills County had ranged from 6 - 8 inches by mid-afternoon Saturday.
Light snowfall is expected to continue into the evening hours with clearing skies and colder temperatures moving in overnight.
