Three To Face Burglary Charges

Charges are pending against three individuals suspected of breaking into an auxiliary building behind the Glenwood Middle School on Oct. 15 or 16 and stealing computer equipment valued at $3,500.

Glenwood Police Sgt. Eric Johansen said tips from the public led to a Saturday afternoon search of the Robert Taenzler residence, 213 Fairview Dr.

Johansen said officers were given permission to search the residence and some of the stolen computer equipment was located in the home.

“We got the majority of the stuff back, except for one computer,” Johansen said.

Brad Taenzler, 18, Calvin Taenzler, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile are facing third-degree burglary charges, Glenwood Police Chief Mike Mercer said.

The property at 213 Fairview borders the back side of the Glenwood Middle School grounds.

Johansen said two of the three suspects have admitted to their involvement in the break-in. Some of the stolen equipment was being advertised for sale on the craigslist Internet site, Johansen confirmed.
