The Glenwood baseball team improved to 4-1 on the season with a 9-1 win over Red Oak on Thursday at A.C. Nuckolls Field.
The Rams scored all nine of their runs in the first four innings, including a four-run fourth to pull away from the winless Tigers.
Glenwood leadoff hitter Tyler Jensen had three of the Rams’ nine hits. Jensen finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored, one run driven in and two stolen bases.
Sam Jameson added a pair of hits with a stolen base and a run scored while Corey Bertini scored two runs as he was 1-for-2 and Alec Forbes doubled to drive in three runs.
Wyatt Schulz got the win on the hill for Glenwood, throwing four innings and giving up one run on three hits and striking out five Tigers.
Alec Forbes belted two home runs to help Glenwood to a 7-2 Hawkeye 10 Conference victory over Atlantic last Tuesday.
Forbes was 2-for-4 with his two home runs. He also scored three runs.
The Rams combined to score six runs in the final two innings to pull away from the Trojans.
Corey Bertini was 3-for-4 for Glenwood with a home run, two RBIs and one run scored.
Sam Jameson was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.
Tyler Jensen had the win for Glenwood going 6 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and striking out eight.
