Emily Blum smacked 11 kills and Grace Newman six for Glenwood in a 25-14, 25-16, 25-23 sweep of Denison on Thursday.
As a team, the Rams (13-12 overall, 3-4 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference) had 23 kills in the win.
“I'm really proud of how the girls kept their composure in the third set as Denison began to hit their stride,” said Glenwood coach Maria Jacobus. “We didn't fold and hung in there to seal up the victory. This was a good test for us since we'll see Denison again the first round of regionals.”
The Rams will host the Monarchs on Oct. 22 in the regional opening round.
Blum hit .417 and led the team in kills with 11.
Courtney Magnussen led the Ram defense at the net with seven total blocks, including two solo blocks.
McKenna Henze and Bailey Starner had 10 and 9 assists each, respectively.
The Rams served at a 92-percent clip and were paced by Meghan Crouch and Megan McKern from the service line. Each served a perfect 100 percent with Crouch going 9-for-9 and McKern 12-for-12. Crouch added two aces.

Megan McKern led the Rams with eight aces and was perfect from the service line going 16-16.
Emily Blum added six aces, Bailey Starner had five and Grace Newman two.
Newman led the team with eight kills and McKenna Henze had seven assists.
