Rams fourth at Shenandoah

The Glenwood girls golf team place fourth at the Shenandoah Open Golf Tournament on Thursday.

Charley Arno placed tenth to lead Glenwood . Shenandoah's Alex Curry shot 81 for top individual honors.

“This was the first time the girls played 18 holes,” said Glenwood coach Kathy Konigsmark. “They started getting tired on the second nine. Most girls shot a good round and the second round was worse.”

Atlantic 216,

Glenwood 228

Atlantic edged Glenwood 216-228 in Hawkeye 10 girls golf last Tuesday.

Megan Wallingford from Atlantic shot dual best 52 and teammate Alisha Ponsar shot a 54 for second place.

Morgan Woodrum led the way for the Rams shooting a 54. She finished second overall in the meet, tying with Ponsar.

Chelsee Bird and Bobi Rockwell each shot a 56's for Glenwood.

Glenwood 227,

C.B. Lewis Central 235

The Glenwood girls golf team won its second straight dual on the season with a 227-235 victory over Council Bluffs Lewis Central last Monday.

Bobi Jo Rockwell and Charley Arno led the way for the Rams each shooting a 53.

The Rams' Cassie Ford, in her first year ever playing golf, shaved six strokes off her previous best score for a round of 61.

Other scores for Glenwood were Morgan Woodrum with a 60, Chelsee Bird a 63 and Katie Neumann 72.

Glenwood 251,

East Mills 259

The Glenwood girls golf team opened its season with a 251-259 victory over East Mills on April 7.

The Rams' Bobi Jo Rockwell was medalist for Glenwood with a round of 60.
