Brian Segoviana's goal one minute into overtime gave Denison a 3-2 Hawkeye 10 Conference victory over Glenwood last Monday.
The Monarchs assured themselves of at least a share of the conference crown with the win and eliminated the Rams, the defending conference champions, from title contention.
After a scoreless first half, Glenwood got a pair of goals from Nathan Knight and Brian Lilly to take a a 2-1 lead midway through the second half. But with just under four minutes to go, the Monarchs tied it at 2-2 to send the game into overtime.
In overtime, neither team could muster much offense until Segoviano's game-winner.
“What a game,” said Glenwood coach Mike Artist. “We played good enough to win I thought, we just didn't get the job done. They just capitalized on a few too many of our mistakes.
The Rams finish their regular season 9-7 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
