CORNING - Fremont-Mills’ Kevin Herrick and East Mills’ Nick Pittmon won three events each to win automatic bids to this week’s state track meet with their performances at the Class 1A District meet at Corning on Thursday.
Herrick took home gold in the high jump, 400-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles. He will be joined at state by teammate Clayton Wilson, who won the 110-meter high hurdles, and Mackenzy Lang who won the 3,200-meters.
Also qualifying for state for the Knights was Jason Rusten (3,200-meters) and Spencer Phillips (discus).
