Parade Among Glenwood Homecoming Highlights

The annual Glenwood Homecoming Parade will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. Registration for the parade will be at the American Legion on Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All participants must register. Kindergarten through 12th grade and class reunion floats can pre-register by calling Lori McGoldrick at 527-9973.

Reserved parking passes are still available at Warren’s Jewelry. Assisted parking begins at 11:30 a.m. on the northeast corner of Town Square going west. Any car parked on the square after 11:30 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense. Also, there is no parking on Vine Street going north and First Street going east from the square. This is used for parade line up. All vehicles will be towed from line-up areas.
No items, including candy may be thrown from the floats. Also inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result with ejection from the parade route. If you have any questions or problems concerning the parade, look for the people wearing “Parade Official” stickers.
For additional parade information, call Larry Lincoln at 622-8441, Juli Schoening at 520-1815 or Craig Williams at 527-4727.
