My it was 80° yesterday – so it seems like spring has arrived. Sounds like it is going to stay very warm for the next few days.
Neva and De Laine Slump and Darrell and Bev Lewis spent several days at their respective Lake of the Ozark homes.
Taylor Lauridsen and Tyler Skokan of Mineola were visitors with Ken and Mary Lauridsen one day last week.
Robert and Willa Carter of Carson and Don and Ruby Godfrey had lunch together in Red Oak on Saturday.
Gary and Ladonna Stephens were among the 14 relatives who had lunch together to celebrate the 89th birthday of her aunt, Kate Slater of Red Oak. Hope it was fun, Kate.
There was a good attendance for the brunch after the worship services of the Christian Church on Sunday.
De Laine and Neva Slump attended “The Hunts” music program at the Wilson Performing Arts Theater on Thursday night.
Bob and Maxine Wilkinson were Monday evening callers of Ruby Wilkinson. Harriett Bergantzel was a recent caller.
Six members of the Nishna Valley Women’s Club met at the home of Karalyn Bryant. President Vicky Putnam opened the meeting with the flag salute – followed by the club collect. Donations to the East Mills post-prom and scholarship and loan were made. We retired to the basement for Caralyn to demonstrate how she uses her cruckcut – a most interesting machine. She also had examples of cards, etc., with all the various pretty items. Carolyn does good work!!
Some of us would not be very good at it!
Later we had delicious sandwiches, salad and other goodies around her dining table. It had lots of St. Patrick’s décor. We topped it all with cake pops. It was a fun evening. Thanks Carolyn, for everything.
