Harlan edges Glenwood, 53-45

The Harlan girls got 19 points from Amber Leinen as the Cyclones edged Glenwood 53-45 in Hawkeye 10 Conference play on Friday.

Tori Kruse led the Rams with 14 points and Morgan Lucy added 13.

The Atlantic girls basketball team outscored Glenwood 29-22 after halftime to pull away for a 56-46 Hawkeye 10 Conference victory last Tuesday.

The Rams shot 40 percent for the game (15-of-37) and had 25 turnovers compared to the Trojans 14.

The two teams combined to commit 45 fouls and shoot 50 free throws.

Morgan Lucy, Tabi Evans and Chelsea Konfrst each scored 12 points for Glenwood. Konfrst added 10 rebounds.

Katie Pappas led Harlan with 14 points.
