A 13-6 run to open the third quarter proved the difference for Hamburg in a 49-38 Corner Conference girls basketball victory over East Mills on Friday.
The Wolverines (0-5 overall, 0-1 in the conference) started off the game scoring the first seven points but were out scored 20-2 to finish out the opening frame.
"We started out on a 7-0 run, but lost our composure and turned it over for easy points for them,” said East Mills coach Brian Bertini.
Jensen Duysen scored 15 points and Gabbi Sowers 14 to lead East Mills.
