The Glenwood girls and boys golf teams split a pair of duals against Council Bluffs St. Albert at Fox Run Golf Course on Thursday.
The girls downed the Saintes 249-259 and the boys suffered a 187-193 setback.
Leading the way for the Glenwood girls was Adria Skarnulis shooting a 56.
“Adria hit the ball well off the tee and played consistently throughout her round,” said Glenwood coach Kathy Konigsmark.
Sydney Embray turned in her best score of the year shooting a 59.
“She was one-stroke off placing second in the dual meet today,” Konigsmark said. “Sydney is a competitor and knows what it takes. She played very well today at Fox Run.”
Joining the team for the first time this year after being sidelined with a wrist injury was Bailey Mitchell. The freshman carded a 70.
“I was pleased with the way Bailey was contacting the ball and hitting it solid. With more practice and playing time, I can only see her scores getting better,” Konigsmark said.
Briana Overhue finished with a round of 64 and Devon Arbogast a 70 to complete the Ram scores.
The Glenwood boys were led by Kobe Rhodes with a round of 40 to lead all scorers.
Zach Mumm added a 48, Jake Sowers a 52, Chase Evans a 53, Sterling Stouder a 55 and Alex Abler a 56 to complete the Rams’ scoring.
