The Glenwood girls track team placed first or second in 12 events en route to the team title at the Hawkeye 10 Conference Southern Division Meet on March 30 in Shenandoah.

Megan McKern piled up the medals for Glenwood taking second in the 3000-meters, first in the 800-meters and running the anchor leg of the Rams' third place 4x400-meter relay. Also winning multiple medals for Glenwood was Shaniece Nott, who won the 100-meter dash, placed second in the 400 and 200-meters and anchor the Rams' gold medal-winning 4x100-meter relay.

Lexi Fisher (400-meters), Abby Brown (long jump), Mercedes Liparoto (100-meter hurdles) and Katie Larsen (1,500-meters) all earned individual gold medals.

“We have some work to do on technique with starts, hand-offs, the hurdles and field events and we also need to not loose contact or focus on our goals but we did have a good night at their first outdoor meet of the year,” said Glenwood coach Brad Rasmussen.
