The Glenwood girls track team placed second at its first outdoor meet of the season last week.

The Rams racked up 112 points to place second to meet champion Creston’s 139 points.
Glenwood earned seven gold medals on the day.
Cassie Kruse had the top throw of the day in the shot to earn her individual gold.
Lexi Fisher added a gold in the 400-meter hurdles and Mercedes Liparoto was first in the 100-meter hurdles.
The Rams’ 4x800, 4x200 and 4x100-meter relays and the shuttle hurdle relay teams also took home top honors.
Rasmussen said the meet was a good barometer for where his team is so early in the season.
“We have some work to do on technique with starts, hand-offs, hurdles and field events,” Rasmussen said.  “We also need to not lose focus on our goals.”
