Rachel DeYoung, Lexi Fisher and Morgan Lucy combined for 50 of the Glenwood girls basketball team’s 64 points in a 64-39 Hawkeye 10 Conference victory over Creston on Friday.
The Rams shot 48.1 percent from the field (26-of-54) and held a 39 to 22 rebounding edge while holding the Panthers to 22.2 percent (12-of-54) shooting.
Lucy had 12 rebounds to go with her 22 points. Fisher added 16 points and DeYoung 12.
Kierra Smith led Creston with 11 points.

Ana VanScoy’s two free throws with three seconds left completed the comeback and sealed the win for Glenwood in a 64-59 Hawkeye 10 Conference victory over Council Bluffs Lewis Central last Tuesday.
The Rams (12-8 overall, 9-8 in the conference) were tied at halftime but trailed 46-43 heading into the fourth quarter. After trading baskets and leads during the quarter, Glenwood finally got on top for good when VanScoy calmly stepped to the line and sunk two free throws with :03 left in the game to ice the win. Glenwood outscored the Titans 21-13 in the crucial final quarter.
VanScoy scored nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Morgan Lucy provided the early scoring punch for the Rams, scoring 18 points in the first half and 22 for the game. Grace Newman added 12 points and Lexi Fisher 10.
