Glenwood girls edge Red Oak on links

    The Glenwood girls golf team defeated Red Oak 243 to 285 in a dual meet at the Glenwood Golf Course last Monday.
    Bobi Jo Rockwell was the top medalist for the meet shooting a round of 50.
    “We were without two of our starting line up as Chelsee Bird and Chloe Newman were both home sick,” said Glenwood coach Kathy Konigsmark. “The rest of the team came through.”
    Freshman Madi Woodrum shot a 62 and Josie Lauridsen shot a 64 for Glenwood.
    Marissa Sherman led Red Oak with a 59.

Glenwood 258
    Atlantic defeated the Glenwood girls golf team 186-258 in a Hawkeye 10 Conference dual on April 12.
    Atlantic had four players shoot in the 40s, led by Sierra Worth's 45. The Trojans' Kristen Schuler was runner up with a 46.
    Chelsee Bird was the medalist for Glenwood shooting a team-best 53. Bobi Jo Rockwell carded a 59 and Adria Skarnulis a 79.
    Emily Wagaman added a round of 77, Chloe Newman an 81 and Josie Lauridsen an 86.

Titans down Glenwood, Fremont County
    Council Blufs Lewis Central downed Glenwood and Fremont County in a girls golf triangular on April 11.
    The Titans won top honors with a team round of 206. Glenwood carded a 229 and Fremont County a 246.
     Lewis Central's Kayla Redeker was the top individual medalist with a 50, which tied for first place with Fremont County's Logan Doty.
    Chelsee Bird carded a top round of 53 to lead Glenwood. Adria Skarnulis followed close behind with a 55.
    Bobi Jo Rockwell had a round of 60 with Emily Wagaman a stroke behing at 61. Chloe Newman carded a 63.
