Glenwood Girl’s golf team defeated Council Bluffs Lewis Central in Hawkeye 10 Conference girls golf last Monday.
Adria Skarnulis led the way for Glenwood shooting a 51 and tying for first place with the Titans’ Amber Huttmann. However, Amber would go on to win the playback hole receiving medalist honors with Skarnulis taking runner-up honors.
Devon Arbogast shot 65 and has improved considerably from last year cutting her score down 10 strokes, said Glenwood coach Kathy Konigsmark.
Briana Overhue shot a 62 and first-year player Sydney Embray shot a 72.
“I was pleased with the results of our team. Lewis Central is usually a strong team and beating them in our first meet was a nice win for us. Adria played very well that day too,” Konigsmark said.
