Glenwood won its opening two singles matches with strong performances by No. 1 Alexa Bledsoe, who defeated the Titans' Laena Frederickson and No. 2 Lydia Sperling to defeated Megan Hoehns 8-4. But the two wins would be the Rams' only victories in the dual.

The Glenwood girls tennis team lost a 7-2 Hawkeye 10 Conference dual to Council Bluffs Lewis Central last Monday.

The 5-1 singles deficit doesn't show how close the match really was for Glenwood, said co-head coach Callie Ohm. All five of the Rams' singles losses ended in extra game tiebreakers.

The Rams' lone single win came in Shelby Cronk's no. 5 match win over Mackenzie Means.

Glenwood didn't fare much better in the doubles portion of the dual, winning just one match with Alexa Bledsoe and Lydia Sperling's dominating 8-0 shutout of Morgan and Mattie Misfeldt.
