The Glenwood boys placed second while the girls were fifth at the Shenandoah Invitational Cross Country Meet on Thursday.
The boys were edged by the host Class 3A No. 10 Mustangs 31-42 in the team standings.
James Fuller was the top placing Ram with a third place finish.
Jeff Reeve finished fourth, Brady Wheeler eighth, Baker Cambridge ninth, Cuentin Gray 18th and Nick Maestas was 29th to complete the Ram scoring.
The Glenwood girls placed fifth with 140 team points. Griswold was the meet champion with 33 points.
The girls were paced by the 22nd place finish of Lizzy Young. Her time was six seconds faster that teammate and 25th place finisher Natalie Shearer.
Morgan Naughton placed 31st, Sarah Homan was 32nd, Sarah Salerno was 34th, Mikaela Stanek was 38th, and Ana Frazee was 40th for the Rams.
The boys junior varsity team was perfect in Shenandoah by scoring a perfect 15.
Led by Caleb Barns, who got his first individual win in a time of 19:05, the Rams had the top five finishers with Damen Harrill placing second, Sean Herrick third, Daniel Leu fourth and Giles Allan fifth.
Phoenix Capps won the junior varsity race to lead the Glenwood girls to a third showing. The Rams finished with 60 team points, just three points behind runner up Council Bluffs Lewis Central.
