While Glenwood is making just it's second state tournament appearance ever and first in the “5-on-5 era,” the Class 3A defending state champion Knights are making their 11th state tournament appearance this week.
Both teams were rarely challenged in regional play. Glenwood won its three post-season games by an average of 31 points per game and Davenport Assumption was even better, cruising to wins by an average of 34 points per game.
Both teams averaged slightly better than 67 points per game and each team has connected on the exact same number of three pointers this season (133).
The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to face the winner of the 8:30 p.m. game between Ballard (18-6) and Benton Community (24-0) in Thursay's semifinal at 7:45 p.m. The Class 3A championship game will be Saturday at 6 p.m.
