The Mills County Trail Planning Committee, Mills County Conservation Board and the National Park Service’s Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program are hosting a series of listening sessions this month to solicit public input on the future of a multi-use trails system in the county.
Listening session attendees will have the opportunity to share their opinions on proposed locations for future trails in the county and to actually place their ideas on a map. Individual maps from each meeting will eventually be merged into one county-wide comprehensive plan.
Meetings are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Glenwood Senior Center (8 a.m.) and the Indian Creek Museum near Emerson (11 a.m.), Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Glenwood Community High School cafeteria (7 p.m.), and Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Classic Cafe restaurant in Malvern (9 a.m.).
