The Mills County Republican Party Central Committee is sponsoring a political forum for all Mills County candidates on the ballot in next month’s general election.
The forum will take place Thursday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., at the Glenwood American Legion, 104 N. Vine St.
Coordinator John Yates said the forum will feature a “question and answer format” and is open to the general public.
The following candidates are expected to take part in the forum:
County supervisor - incumbent Richard Crouch (Republican) and Jack May (candidate by petition).
Country treasurer - Becky Killpack (Republican) and Craig Florian (candidate by petition).
County recorder - Vicki McClintic (Republican).
County attorney - Eric Hansen (Republican).
The general election in Mills County will take place Tuesday, Nov. 2, but absentee ballots are now available through the Mills County Auditor’s Office.
In addition to the county races, residents from the city of Glenwood will vote on a $2.2 million bond issue that would provide partial funding for the construction of an outdoor swimming pool adjacent to the Mills County YMCA.
Several state and federal races are also on the general election ballot.
