City Says ‘Unaudited’ General Fund Deficit Sits at $19,558

-A A +A
By Joel Stevens, Associate Editor

The City of Glenwood has closed its books for the 2014-2015 fiscal year with a financial picture that is slightly better than expected.

According to city administrator Brian Kissel, Glenwood’s “unaudited” general fund deficit is currently at $19,558.67. After months of speculation of just how far the city was in the red, the current figure, which Kissel determined in a meeting with Susanne Gerlach of Public Financial Management, Inc., paints a slightly better picture for Glenwood’s finances than anticipated.
