Upon further review, the Glenwood City Council Public Safety Committee has concluded that dissolving its police department and having Mills County deputies police the streets of Glenwood wouldn’t be in the best interest of city residents. The committee has elected not to endorse a proposal from Mills County Sheriff Eugene Goos that would have his deputies take over policing duties within the city limits.
