A 31-year-old woman is accused of shooting her brother in the head Sunday at a residence in northwest Mills County.
Elizabeth Brannen is charged with reckless use of a firearm causing serious injury, a Class C felony, Mills County Sheriff Eugene Goos said.
According to a sheriff’s office report, the incident occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at a rural Council Bluffs residence located at 17022 Allis Rd., on the Mills County side of the border with Pottawattamie County.
