Brehm steps down as Glenwood volleyball coach

Kim Brehm has resigned from her position as Glenwood Community High School volleyball coach.

Brehm, who has taught geometry and pre-algebra at the high school for four years and served as head volleybally coach for two, handed in her resignation to the district on Feb. 25.

Brehm, an Elkhorn, Neb. native, has not decided if she will continue on as a teacher at Glenwood next year but is consdering a move back to the Omaha area.

“I appreciate the opportunity I was given to coach here in Glenwood and feel that I have made steps in the right direction to develop a quality program,” said Brehm.

“The youth program is really coming along and we will have an amazing group of dedicated athletes at the high school next year. I think they will go far.”

Brehm was 15-33 overall and 6-12 in the Hawkeye 10 Conferece in her two seasons as the Rams’ head coach.
