Blazing Heat

Firefighters Battle Blaze, Heat, Humidity

Glenwood firefighters spent about an hour early Friday evening, July 22, putting out  an electrical fire in the attic of a house at 505 Grove Street.

     Conditions on the hot roof were compounded by temperatures in the 90s and high humidty.  Bottled water was distributed to help the firefighters stay hydrated.
     The fire was contained with minimal water damage to the structure.
