THURMAN - Medical and law enforcement authorities in Fremont County believe alcohol may have contributed to the death of a 32-year-old man found dead Sunday morning inside a camper trailer.

Thurman Rescue and the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10 a.m. to a report of an unresponsive male at 702 Filmore St. Rescue personnel discovered Thomas Jazon Smith dead inside a camper parked on the property.

Foul play is not suspected but an initial investigation has determined that alcohol was a possible factor in the death. An autopsy was ordered by Fremont County Medical Examiner Laurance Choate.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the death.
